“Nothing is so contagious as enthusiasm” Bulwer-Lytton
The Woodland Play Centre provides an informal education that is unique, special and playful in outdoor natural and wild spaces, creating opportunities for:
- An understanding and appreciation of the natural surroundings
- Allowing participants to communicate and express their feelings through play.
- Individuals
are encouraged
to direct and lead their own explorations
- Structured activities to help build confidence and self-esteem
- Taking and managing risks in a safe environment
- Creating a secure and exciting place for people to learn
- A flexible approach to and understanding individual needs and desires
- Learning life skills
- Social interaction and physical activity
- Playing with the environment
All the programmes / sessions are facilitated by qualified, experienced leaders who have current Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) certificates.
Children, young people and even adults are able to play and explore in an environment they feel is exclusively their own, leaving behind only traces of their imagination and footprints.

The aim is to create a secure and exciting place for people to learn with acceptable ‘risks’ in a safe environment. Every day has a flexible approach taking into account individual needs, the weather and most importantly, consultation with the children about their desires.
"A joy shared is a joy doubled” Goethe
Louise tirelessly, promotes new ideas to provide enough space at the Woodland Play Centre for people to be inspired, exhilarated and challenged by the natural environment, creating opportunities for taste buds to be tickled!
