Everyone can play!
The Woodland Play Centre has a focus on providing a facility for children and young people.
It is vital that adults working with children and young people feel confident and challenged in outdoor environments therefore, we offer opportunities for adults too!
The importance of an individuals’ development needs to be recognised. All activities are tailored to meet individuals learning styles, physical abilities and understanding.
Play is a natural need within everyone and we all learn through playing.
It is the Woodland Play Centre’s expectation and challenge to offer children, parents / adults and education an alternative environment to enjoy and learn in the outdoors.
"Play has been described as scientific research conducted by children.” (Hughes 1996).
Play should come from within the child and be self-directed. Where they can explore, climb, get wet, muddy and dirty.
Children will be able to meet other children of different ages and abilities in an environment that lends itself to flexibility, imagination and magic.
